I am opening a small restaurant...what is the #1 thing you think I need to know?
My husband and I are opening a small deli style restaurant. At first we will only be open during lunch hours so we are not taking on too much at one time. We both have about 12 yrs exp working in and managing restaurants. I know that's not enough though. Any advice on what I need to know or info I should explore? We are only in the early planning stages of this...not opening tomorrow or anything! Any help greatly appreciated!!!
Write a business plan to prove out that your restaurant will work out. Go to sba.gov, score.org and/or bplan.com where you will find sample business plans and instructions on how to write a business plan.
Then, Go to score.org and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will find the SCORE chapter nearest you. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor to review your business plan.
